Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that any movement aimed at destabilizing social harmony was not possible in Nepal.
After an inspection visit to the Office of the Attorney General on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said that such a movement was not possible in Nepal as the government won’t indulge in any activity that is against the people and democracy.
Addressing the government attorneys, the Prime Minister said the incumbent government will work towards the path of achieving prosperity by maintaining good-governance.
‘Nepali society is ruled by laws. There is no possibility of protests creating social disharmony. Some people could share their anger on social sites but there is nothing more than that,’ PM Oli added. PM Oli also pledged to bring about positive changes in society in his tenure as the PM like in his past term.
Oli was of the view that infrastructure development in the judiciary sector would be continued for effective development of this sector given the sufficiency of the state’s means and resources.
On the occasion, the PM described that the political agreement among the three political parties on the transitional justice laws was the final step for the conclusion of the peace process and added that the laws will be victim-centric.
Likewise, the PM said discussions were on to adjust the salary of the civil servants by respecting the Supreme Court’s verdict. During the programme, Attorney General Ramesh Badal said that the Office of the Attorney General should have a forensic lab for effective and speedy investigation of the cases.
